Will be gone for a while

Dear Everybody Who Reads My Blog:

This may be shocking to some (and to others not so much) but I will be taking a two-month vacation quite soon, starting from May 3rd and going on until...several days into July. Where am I going? Well, I shall be spending my two months in the remote Bastion of California, which is currently off the map. Naturally, it has not been charted yet; however, I've spent quite a few summers there, enjoying time off from the stresses of a Dame and remembering the idylic days of my childhood, when all I ever had to do was help my father on his boat and tend to the garden.

I shall not be in contact during these two months. The Bastion of California can only be reached by trawling through uncharted waters, or from obtaining charts from certain knowledgeable seamen. Therefore, if you seek help, I suggest that you contact our friendly Player Helpers while I am gone, as they have recieved wings for this very purpose. If your message is very, very urgent (such as an alert that Brucey has taken over Jhal-Abur or that Garg has gone mad), you can ask my husband Nasrudin to send it to me, as he is in possesion of a special talking Nasrudin doll which he has agreed to loan to me for the summer. I shall be using it to keep in touch with him; however, there is only one doll of its kind and I cannot extend this service to anyone else. Unless, of course, you have a special doll of yourself which you would like to loan to me.

There is no post-by-email feature for my blog, unfortunately, so I will not be able to update it no matter how hard I try. However, rest assured that my absence will not be in vain. In my spare time, I have plans to continue working on dialogs and stories for Jhal-Abur, in addition to a small recollection of my travel memories to share with you.

This post, therefore, shall be my last for quite a while. I wish all of my fellow NEaBians good luck. Perhaps some of you could also consider going somewhere for a vacation (I know that many of you have worked hard during the year) and if you do, I would love to hear about your travels once you get back (and once I re-enter civilization, of course).

Kind regards,

Dame TaliaSolo

Happy Easter/April Fool's day

Well, I decided not to die after all. Writing here is just too much fun. Besides, that was a (very late) April fool's day present for all of you here! True, I am busy, but not busy enough to stop writing or playing NEaB. So don't worry, I'll remain here for a time yet.

April fool's day (as well as Easter) fell only four days away from each other and were both quite fun. I didn't have much time to go fishing, alas, but did have a bit of a laugh making fun of my title for the day. I was Seigneur TaliaSolo. It didn't make much sense, seeing as I am a female, but I still had fun playing around and putting on a curly moustache and top hat to poke fun at it.

Easter was quite fun too. For the few days or so before Easter, chat was filled with nothing but talk of chocolate and bunnies. Rubyia had an easter egg hunt (which I enjoyed immensely, as I'd never had the opportunity to go egg hunting as a little girl) and overall I do think I enjoyed myself. One of the best parts, however, was sitting outside of the castle and eating my delicious ale-filled easter egg. Yummy Glumy in my Tum-tum-tummy ^^

Now, I know that I have promised quite a lot of quests on Jhal-Abur (and so far none have been released) but I can promise you one quite soon, that I have been working on with a few of my fellow Island managers. It is about to go through beta-testing stages soon, and once that is done I shall release it for the public. I hope you shall enjoy it.

I can't stand it anymore

Dear everybody,

I'm sorry, but I simply cannot continue writing for this blog anymore. Things have become far too hectic, especially with upcoming exams, projects that I must complete, and a newlyfound addiction to puzzle pirates, which I simply cannot rid myself of. In fact, I was so busy today that I couldn't even play an April fool's joke on anyone, such as stealing Croesy's toilet plunger and giving it to the ladies to play with, then putting Mister Oinky in the place of the Plunger.

Furthermore, the NEaBlogosphere is empty. Every day I come here, trawling through the blogs, calling out people's names to see if they have updated. But nobody answers, and my voice echoes through the lonely URLs. I read my old posts to pass the time, and spend time trying to figure out if I have anything significant to say. But each time I come up with a new idea, nobody is there to read it and so it echoes back at me, stark and lonely and repetitive. I am a lonely blogger, cursed with solitude in this particular aspect of the NEaB community. And if I do not do something about it, I shall go mad.

Therefore, I must leave. Please don't miss me, I'll still be on NEaB and squeezing in spare time to write for the gazette and work on Jhal-Abur. If a brave soul happens upon this post years from now, know that I did not die here in the NEaBlogosphere. Just know that the NEaBlogosphere died on me.
