Party Memories

Well, I had a pretty good time last weekend at the Winter Balls. Admittedly, I hadn't been expecting TWO balls to take place, one in the throne room and the other in the Stelloni's Mansion, but I managed to have a fun time at both. Nasrudin showed up for the one in the throne room, and we had quite a lot of fun mingling with NEaBians, dancing in a Conga Line, and drinking the night away. I took quite a lot of pictures to share with all of you, too!
This one is of all the people who showed up at the time. Suzumi, Zonneschjinn and others came too, but I wasn't able to take pictures with them as I was serving drinks. But more on that later...anyhow, we had quite a bit of fun. Toledo started a Conga Line, which several of us followed for a while. There were several people who really had some flair (--buffo ances slowly with himself--) and some like Servant_girl, who sat quietly by the sidelines and watched as other NEaBians let themselves loose.
Later, Nasy and I hid away in a private corner of the dance floor and took a picture.
Isn't he sweet?!? Later on, Buffo approached, hoping for a sandwich hug.
By that time, several people told Nasy and I to quit it with our Public Displays of Affection, so we decided to hang around the food stands instead. We shared a Takoyaki (until now I'm still not sure exactly what it is, but the sauce was delicious) and then had several glasses of champagne and my favorite ale.
We also managed to bribe the bartender into letting us serve drinks as well.
All in all, I do think I had a swell time at this year's ball.
The next day I received word from Iya that the weather had cleared up, and that the Stellonis were able to host their Winter Ball after all! I quickly took the ferry over to Delia Island, and went to enjoy myself. Their mansion is a splendid place, with a beautiful courtyard containing a well-kept garden. It was the perfect place to hold a ball, especially with the moonlight shining down and making everything look special.
Alas, I forgot my imps-box at home, so I was unable to take pictures of the Stelloni's house. I really should remember next time, though. It's nice to have memories of a party, especially when there are a lot of people who can look back and remember it as well.
